LOCATION
Located at the heart of Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, Meursault is one of the Côte-d’Or’s most famous villages.
SOIL
The soil is composed of calcareous clay and white marl. The vines grow on slopes that face east and southeast.
GRAPE VARIETY
100 % Chardonnay.
VINIFICATION
Traditional vinification in temperature-controlled tanks at 20°C. Aged on the lees and stirred in oak barrels (25 to 30% new oak) for 12 to 14 months.
ROBE
Beautiful, brilliant straw yellow in colour.
NOSE
Predominantly floral with nuances of honeysuckle and linden blossom, a creamy touch of melted butter and nutty aromas of fresh almond.
PALATE
Starts off full-bodied with impressions of sucrosity and unctuousness. The finish is long and extremely flavourful.
SERVE WITH
Ideal with delicate fish such as turbot or gilt head bream, crustaceans, fine poultry such as guinea fowl with apricots and tarragon or grenadin of veal with porcini mushrooms. You may also enjoy this wine with full-flavoured cheeses such as the local Epoisses or Plaisir au Chablis.
SERVE AT
Serve between 12 and 14°C to best appreciate this wine’s freshness and roundness.
