シチリアの北東部にミラッツォという港町がありますが、こちらのワイナリーはそことは全く別の場所、島の中央からやや南寄りに位置しています。 1900年代初頭にマリア・コスタンツァという女性がワイナリーをスタートさせ、戦争による中断ののち、70年代から生産を再開させました。 当時から続くビオロジックの取り組みを反映したカワセミの絵がモチーフとなっています。 少し紫がかったガーネット。 ラズベリーやブラックベリーのジャム、ユリ、クローヴ、シナモン、チョコレート、コーヒー。 南イタリアらしいしっかりとした果実の凝縮感が感じられるものの行き過ぎておらず、穏やかな酸が全体の輪郭を保っています。 エチケットに描かれた白や紫の花を連想させる、綺麗なフローラルな香り。 粒度の荒いタンニンとアルコールの余韻が残るフィニッシュ。 エレガントなネロ・ダーヴォラです。 空き瓶：754g GRAPES: Nero d'Avola SOIL TYPOLOGY: Giuseppina and Milici, plateau of marl origin with a high clayey component, strongly calcareous, rich in skeleton - Munti, organic and rather deep clayey soil BREEDING SYSTEM: Guyot and spurred cordon HARVEST TIME: Half October METHOD OF COLLECTION: Selection of the bunches on the plant and manual harvesting in 14 kg boxes VINIFICATION: The grapes are delicately shelled and after a further manual selection they are transferred to horizontal and vertical vats where, after a 15-day maceration, they complete the alcoholic fermentation. The malolactic fermentation is carried out partly in oak barrels and partly in steel MATURATION: About 18 months, part in barrique, part in steel. Final refinement in the bottle ALCOHOL: 14 % vol DESCRIPTION: Maria Costanza Rosso is the most intense expression of our way of interpreting the Sicilian vine par excellence, NERO D'AVOLA. SENSORY NOTES Intense red color with violet reflections. On the nose evident floral and fruity hints attributable to morello cherries. Closes with spices and aromatic vegetables such as nettle and fig leaf. In the mouth it is soft, elegant and velvety with an exceptional persistence.
