新しい年を迎え、白泡を連投してきたので、そろそろ今年はじめての赤、しかもオージーワインを抜栓することにしました(^-^) 2019 VINEYARD SERIES SHIRAZ (HPより転載) ■VARIETIES　Shiraz ■VINTAGE　2019 ■REGION　Yarra Valley ■DESCRIPTION 2020 Langtons Yarra Valley Wine Show BEST SINGLE VINEYARD RED BEST SHIRAZ GOLD MEDAL Vibrant purple with a purple red hue. Luscious fruit　aromatics leap from the glass blackberry, dark cherry and　plums, with hints of black olive and pepper and the slightest fleck of oak framing it all. The palate is pure fruited, all blackcurrant, plum and red currants with a spice element adding complexity. Bright yet balanced acidity and fine, long tannins are supportive of the fruit. Layered and textured with both poise and presence. ■WINEMAKING NOTES A traditional winemaking approach was used to produce this wine – 70% whole berry and 30% whole bunch fermentation in open vessels followed by 14 months maturation in French oak puncheons. ■GROWING CONDITIONS Selection - This wine was sourced from the north-facing Oakridge vineyard sited in the grey alluvial loams of　Coldstream. Vintage - A warm, wet spring followed a dry summer and autumn has delivered good crops in near perfect harvesting conditions resulting in strong varietal characteristics. ■REVIEWS Halliday Wine Companion 95points “A superb purple/black hue, the same colour as the plums and berries at the core of this shiraz. But it's most definitely savoury; spicy and peppery with very nicely controlled smoky reduction woven across the bouquet and palate. Full bodied, with determined tannins and a wonderful sense of clarity throughout. “ – Jane Faulkner (転載終了) グラスに注ぐと意外にも粘性は少なくサラリとしています。色味もイメージよりも少し淡いガーネット。温度を下げてしまったせいもあり、香りはあまりなし。いよいよ一口頂くと、ブラックベリー、プルーン、オリーブ、アフターはピリリと胡椒のエッセンス、全体的にはオージーのシラーズだけれども、ピノ・ノワールのような上品さと冷涼感も兼ね備えた素晴らしい出来映え(^-^)ﾑﾁｬ旨し！ こんなに美味しくてもリーズナブル、もっと買っておけば良かったー(>_<)ｱｲﾀｰ
